Our Story

The Willcox Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture has deep roots in our community, tracing back to 1929 when it was first established as the Sulphur Springs Valley Chamber of Commerce. Through periods of growth and change, the organization was restructured in 1937 and again in 1946, emerging as the Willcox Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture we know today.

In our earliest days, the Chamber's primary mission centered on a critical need for the community: securing better roads for our region. This foundational work laid the groundwork for economic development and connectivity that would benefit Willcox for generations.

As our community grew, so did our scope of service. The Chamber expanded its efforts to encompass a wide range of initiatives including comprehensive safety campaigns, active recruitment and support of new businesses, and advocacy for improved local government services. These diverse programs demonstrated our commitment to addressing the evolving needs of our community.

Through dedicated leadership and volunteerism, the Willcox Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture earned recognition as one of the most effective chambers of commerce in the West, particularly noteworthy for a community of our size. This reputation reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in serving both our business community and residents.
